Veterinary Technician – Full Time or Part Time
The veterinary technician is the veterinarian’s primary medical support. They begin the examination procedure and continue to assist the doctor throughout the examination, diagnosis and treatment phases. They aid the veterinarians in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work and administrative detail. They have a very significant role in communicating with and education clients about their pets.
We are looking for a veterinary technician with at least one year of experience. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintaining exam rooms and treatment areas, assisting the doctor in treatment, rooms, and surgery, administering injections (SQ, IM, and IV), phlebotomy (jugular, cephalic, and saphenous), IV catheterization, client education, radiology. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Kennel staff members are responsible for proper husbandry care of all animals boarding in the kennel and occasionally responsible for the boarding cats. This includes feeding, bathing, record keeping and the cleanliness of cages, runs and kennel areas. In addition, the kennel staff also is occasionally responsible for the cleanliness of the hospital.
We prefer that our kennel technicians have at least some animal experience in a professional setting. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude. Possibility to become a veterinary technician after at least one year.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Walking dogs, medicating dogs and cats, following detailed feeding guidelines, cleaning runs and cages, laundry, bathing dogs, trimming nails and cleaning ears on dogs. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be available either 7am to 10am or 3pm to 7pm at least two days per week and two weekends per month.
Receptionist – Full Time or Part Time
The receptionist is the client’s first contact when calling or visiting the practice and as such represents the professional image of the practice to callers and visitors. The receptionist answers telephones, greets clients, prepares patient files and escorts clients and patients to exam rooms, receives and relays client correspondence, updates client financial records. The exceptional receptionist has the ability to diffuse negative client situations and foster client bonding.
We are looking for a receptionist with at least one year of experience. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude. Experience as a receptionist in a non-medical facility or as a veterinary technician would suffice.
